Welcome to Merry Trees — the Christmas Tree Rental Company, where you can choose the perfect living Christmas tree for your family!

I love Christmas, but I’ve never felt comfortable with the plastic fantastic tree or the traditional pine tree that drops its needles as it slowly fades away in the living room. I wanted a Christmas tree that stays perky all season long and doesn’t add to our ever‑growing plastic footprint.

So I did some research about conifers and pines and bought a Norway Spruce, which I popped into a pot to use as our Christmas tree. It was only little — maybe two feet tall — but it was a charming tree and everybody loved it. We named it Little Nic, and it has been our Christmas tree every year since.

After that first Christmas with Little Nic, I wondered if other people might like a living Christmas tree they could rent for the festive season — and Merry Trees was born.

Now, five years later, Merry Trees is offering its first Christmas Tree rentals to the public. We have a multitude of lovely Norway Spruce available — each one a little bit different, and all between approximately 4 – 6 feet tall (1.2 - 1.8m). These trees are just waiting for a family to give them a name and enjoy them over the holiday season.

They will continue to grow, and just like us, you might like to rent the same tree every year so you can watch it grow alongside your family.

Rental Details

• 🎄 Rental period: Monday 1 December – Tuesday 30 December (or any part thereof)
• 📍 Nursery location: 695 Tram Rd, Ohoka
• 🕓 Opening: Every day from 1 December by prior arrangement via our contact form
• 🚚 Delivery: Available up until Christmas Eve
• 🎁 Self‑collection: Available from 1 December
• ↩️ Returns: Accepted from Boxing Day – 30 December (pickup by arrangement up to the 30th)
